Soon to be one of Portugal’s largest business centres, the World Trade Centre (WTC) will rise in Carnaxide, Oeiras, on the outskirts of Lisbon, and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022. It represents a €120M investment, coming to life by the Porto Foz Vintage promoter group. The WTC was officially presented on 29th July, the date on which the inauguration of the model office was announced.

The WTC, as we have written, comprises a total area of 70 000 square meters (m2), divided in two office buildings totalling 25 000 m2, and 4 000 m2 retail areas. The two buildings will have 8 floors above ground, with outdoor patios and a rooftop on each building. It will also have a hotel with 127 rooms and close to 800 underground parking spaces and 200 outside spaces. The exterior spaces will occupy 10 000 m2 and include bicycle paths, gardens and green spaces that enable working out. It should also be noted that the complex will also have 1 700 m2 entirely dedicated to commercial spaces.

Isaltino Morais praises the project.

The inaugural visit to the WTC was attended by Isaltino Morais, Mayor of Oeiras (CMO), and by Vasco Fonseca, COO of Foz Vintage. The mayor said that ‘Oeiras is very proud to welcome a business complex of this size, with such an innovative character’.

‘Oeiras Valley, the brand chosen by the CMO to describe our territory and the business welcoming ecosystem, is increasingly the home chosen by national and international companies where to house their activities, as a result of the excellent conditions that the municipality has to offer, at all levels. The WTC fits perfectly in the Oeiras Valley project and in this unique ecosystem that combines innovation, technology, and sustainability, he added.
